Rosshelle Munoz

Fiscal and Administrative Assistant

Munoz is a native New Yorker and senior at Baruch College studying Operations Management. Her course of study was inspired by her mother’s passion as a social worker, which goes hand in hand with her interests in using her mathematical skills to help organizations that serve neglected and underrepresented communities and individuals. She serves as National Urban Fellow’s Administrative & Fiscal Associate, where she serves as a support to the President & CEO, and Board of Directors.

Prior to joining the NUF team, Rosshelle worked as the lead teller at JPM Chase bank, where she was able to incorporate her financial skills previously obtained in accordance with her people and customer service skills. This experience allowed Rosshelle to discover her leadership skills and abilities as she saw herself not only doing what is asked of her, but also making sure others were on the right path as well. Her motivation to lead and help others was shown when she began to volunteer and gain work experience within both the banking/private sector and the Higher Education/ Non-profit sector. Rosshelle served as the team manager of the City College’s women’s basketball team while also being engaged in Extracurricular activities and Advanced Placement classes. She was moved by the idea of serving for a purpose rather than serving for a profit upon investing her time in becoming more involved in her community.

As a Latina, working in an organization that stresses the importance of leadership within the population of persons of color, Rosshelle is pushed to continue strengthening her knowledge and experience in the field of Finance and Operations Management in order to continue the journey of becoming a financial leader and public servant.

Rosshelle is set to graduate with her Bachelors of Business Administration in Operations Management in 2019, and will be the first of her five siblings to graduate from college.
