Shaheen Mamawala

Shaheen Mamawala is a strategist and innovator whose career has focused on harnessing untapped leadership potential and designing spaces for diverse stakeholders to connect, engage, and collaborate towards social impact.

She brings more than a decade of experience working across three distinct areas within the social sector – as a recruiter and alumni affairs manager at Teach For America, a national education nonprofit; as a Program and Communications Associate at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation’s largest private philanthropy dedicated solely to the public’s health, and as a Health Policy Advisor to the Deputy Mayor for Health & Human Services at the New York City Mayor’s Office.

Through these roles she has collaborated with a range of public and private sector stakeholders from across disciplines and policy areas, and is most inspired by finding connections in seemingly disparate places and maximizing them towards equitable social change.
