Annette Raveneau

Annette Raveneau is an advocacy and policy initiatives communications expert who is passionate about how public policy can eliminate systemic inequities in vulnerable communities—especially Latinos, African Americans, and other people of color—and help create social innovation projects that empower those communities in the U.S. and globally. As an Afro-Latina immigrant, Annette is a bilingual, bi-cultural, energetic, creative, high-performing professional focused on the intersectionalities of civil and human rights and reproductive health, health and well-being, criminal justice, economic security, education, and immigration policy.

Most recently, Annette has consulted for clients such as UnidosUS, the nation’s largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization, formerly the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), where she led several communications and marketing projects and annual report launches.

Prior to consulting, Annette served as the director of media relations at Families USA Foundation, where she led the media relations team and worked to promote Families USA’s health and health care policy issues. Annette also served as a Spanish-language spokesperson for the organization.

Preceding Families USA, Annette served as the national director of Latino and media partnerships for Enroll America, where she oversaw all earned media partnerships with national and local press and social media including media organizations serving communities of color. She also led a team of four state communications directors—Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and Texas—overseeing communications strategies for their programs during the first three open enrollment periods of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). She also served as the national Spanish-language spokesperson.

Before transitioning into the nonprofit sector, Annette was a TV Journalist for over a decade for Univision Network based in their headquarters in Florida, California, and lastly in Nevada. Annette reported and produced stories from the across the U.S, Mexico, Central and South America, and Europe.

Annette holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Florida International University.
