Janina Hogans
Janina Hogans is an exceptional professional who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the healthcare industry. Her former work with Mayo Clinic has been instrumental in improving patient care, clinical operations, and administrative processes. As a Program Manager of Clinical Operations, she effectively managed unique service lines, developed standard operating procedures, and improved workflow processes.
Her work as Mayo Clinic Arizona Manager of Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity, where she increased the voluntary number of employee resource group members from 1750 to over 2500 in just two years, is a testament to her strategic planning and change management skills. Prior to this service, Janina served as an Epic Electronic Medical Record Analyst to improve patient access in departments she covered.
Janina is a servant leader who adds value to several committees and boards, including the Baylor Alumni Regional Council, the National Association of Healthcare Senior Executives Public Policy (NAHSE) Committee, the Arizona National Diversity Council, and the Arizona National Association of Healthcare Senior Executives (NAHSE). Her contributions have been recognized at Mayo Clinic Arizona, where she was honored as Innovator of the Year Award for Diversity and Inclusion in May 2021.
Janina’s educational background is diverse, and she holds a B.S. in Biology from Baylor University, an MHA in Education from the University of Phoenix, an Instructor in Healthcare Administration Academic rank from Mayo Clinic College of Health and Sciences, a Health Equity certificate from Arizona State University, and a National Diversity Council Diversity Practitioner Certificate.
Her passion for public policy and making a difference in the lives of disenfranchised individuals is commendable, and she will continue to make an even greater impact with knowledge learned as a National Urban Fellow.
