With experience in crafting effective strategies to win elections at the local, state and
federal level, Antonio managed the Community Water Center Action Fund where he
worked on coordinating voter engagement and endorsement efforts in key policy
campaigns and elections. Antonio led a team of canvassers and phonebankers
implementing Deep Canvassing strategies to connect with rural and unincorporated
communities beyond the election cycle.
In his hometown, Antonio worked to mobilize a coalition of community residents, city
government, private and public stakeholders to craft a local ordinance that would
generate approximately $38 million per year and provide $1.5B of improvements for
parks, arts and culture over the next 30 years. This measure revitalized how the
community experiences greenspace by improving and maintaining safe, clean
neighborhood parks and playgrounds, providing significant funds for creating new
parks and recreation facilities, as well as job training for youth and veterans.
Antonio is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University Pomona where he made
President’s and Dean’s List and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2021.
Through the National Urban Fellows program, Antonio hopes to gain a better
understanding of public policy and bridge his experience in politics and community
organizing to advance meaningful and significant policy solutions.
