Janell George

Janell George is a trusted advisor with extensive experience directing strategic initiatives that achieve transformative results. She brings 15 years’ experience in the business and nonprofit sectors. As an Independent Consultant, Janell serves clients in coaching, philanthropy, business development and talent recruitment. Leading with a results-focused approach, she helps to leverage organizational strengths to advance dynamic mission objectives.

Previously, Janell was Director of Development for Cesar Chavez Charter Schools for Public Policy in Washington, DC, where her efforts increased annual fundraising revenue, secured capital for growth initiatives and laid the framework for long-term impact. Prior to that, Janell worked with CCS Fundraising, a leading consulting firm specializing in non-profit development. There, Janell directed multi-million dollar development projects raising more than $25M for healthcare, education, religious and humanitarian clients. Before joining CCS, Janell was as a publicist for CBS News representing the network’s talent and national broadcasts. Janell began her career with the William J. Clinton Foundation contributing to major efforts including the Clinton Presidential Library grand opening and the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative, where team efforts secured $1.5 billion in commitments to address global poverty, climate change, governance and religious conflict.

Janell completed ProInspire’s Managing for Success leadership development program. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a graduate of Florida A&M University, where she studied English and Biology as a Presidential Scholar. Janell enjoys reading, cooking with her daughter and volunteering in her community. She grew up in the Bronx, New York and currently resides in New Jersey with her family.
