Laura Camila Rivera
Laura Camila Rivera is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with a proven track record of leadership and impact. As Founder & CEO of CAMI Studio, an agency geared towards Creative Automation & Marketing Innovation, Laura champions BIPOC and Women-Owned small businesses with automation, creative storytelling, and marketing innovation.
Before her current endeavors, Laura excelled at Archipelago Strategies Group (ASG) as an Account Strategy Manager & Senior Advisor. She devised campaign strategies, nurtured client relationships, and crafted innovative solutions aligned with client objectives. Prior to ASG, she served as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Commonwealth Corporation, a quasi- public government agency dedicated to workforce development. There, she developed and implemented a strategic marketing plan, managed a team, and acted as the organization’s lead writer and editor.
Laura’s academic achievements include graduating from Northeastern University with a dual degree in Business Administration from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business and Interactive Media / Graphic Design from the College of Arts, Media, and Design, with a minor in Psychology.
Her passion for leadership, equity, art, and productivity shines through her diverse volunteer and community roles. As a founding board member of United Latinas, Laura empowers women through leadership development and co-authored “Extraordinary Latinas Vol III,” highlighting inspiring Latina achievements. She has also served on the boards of OneBead, an organization that runs leadership programs for elementary and middle school students, and Now+There, an equity-focused public arts curator, and served as the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. As the President of ALPFA Puerto Rico, she is revitalizing the chapter and fostering growth for Latino professionals to fight “brain drain” on the island.Laura’s dedication to social change is evident in her work with ACOMERPR as a National Engagement Coordinator for Puerto Rico’s food security. Her experience as an Alumni Advisor for the Northeastern Student of Color Caucus (NSCC) and ED of Marketing & Fundraising for the National Puerto Rican Student Caucus demonstrates her commitment to marginalized communities. As a founding member of the Students for Puerto Rico Movement, Laura bridges the Diaspora with initiatives on the island.
Laura’s accomplishments have been recognized with numerous awards, including ALPFA Rising Star (Association of Latino Professionals for America) in 2023, ALX100 Most Influential Latinos in Massachusetts (Amplify Latinx) in 2023, 40 Under 40 Powerlist (COLOR Magazine) in 2023, and Latino 30 Under 30 (El Mundo Boston) in 2022.
Believing that the NUF Fellowship will help scale her impact, Laura eagerly anticipates gaining skills, networking, and a platform to elevate her advocacy and leadership. She looks forward to collaborating with fellow NUF community leaders and using this opportunity to amplify her voice for meaningful change within the Latino community and beyond.
