Sasha Cunningham
During her career, Sasha has consistently pushed for more inclusive, equitable, and comprehensive services for the children and families served by the organizations she has worked with. Sasha has held a broad spectrum of leadership positions within the field of ECE, across the U.S. and abroad, creating and fortifying ECE programs in clinics, schools, museums, non-profits, and social service agencies. Sasha was selected to represent the state of Oregon to advocate for ECE program funding on Capitol Hill, presented her graduate research on inclusive classroom environments to programs in Italy, and was chosen to pilot the first inclusive preschool-to-public school bridge program in Southern Oregon. Sasha hopes to utilize this mentorship to increase the scope of her professional skills and this fellowship as a path to creating and influencing meaningful policy to improve access to high-quality, equitable services for children and families on a much larger scale.
