Viv Tran
As a daughter of refugees and a first-generation Canadian-American, Viv is grounded in her identity as a global citizen and local organizer. In the past decade, her deep interest in the impact sector has taken her from grassroots organizing to philanthropic consulting and advising. She has worked alongside pioneer activist organizations, consulted institutions as large as BRAC USA, and played significant roles in impact campaigns including the national Climate Funders Justice Pledge. She has an affinity for community development and working with diverse populations where she can draw from her experiences as a migrant and activist. Her commitment to community and service has not only spanned my professional career but her entire life, in which she gives, volunteers, organizes, and produces the What Gives? podcast on stories of impact. Viv currently serves as the Interim Communications Co-Director at Donors of Color Network.
